Dr. Hendren is our senior partner and can help you with any orthopaedic problem (other than spine). Dr. Kime is one of two local orthopaedic physicians who routinely operate on the neck and lower back.  In addition to General Orthopaedics,  Dr. Kime performs spinal surgery for all of the common and complex problems people may have with their spines.  Dr. Kime also performs many general orthopaedic procedures (as his schedule allows) on his established patients.

Although Dr. Schwartz is also a Board Certified general orthopaedist and spine surgeon,  he elects to focus on an office-based practice.  Dr. Schwartz guides pre-operative and operative-preventative back care for patients.  He is also certified to perform legal evaluations, Independent Medical Exams, second opinions and disability evaluations. 

 

 

 

 

G. Edward Chappell Jr., M.D.

Dr. Chappell is well known in the community as a well trained and versatile Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon.  As he has served in the community for more than 30 years, he has been an integral part of the growth and education of orthopaedics in this area.  As an orthopaedic generalist, he enjoys all of the different types of surgeries including total joints, fracture care, arthroscopic knee surgeries and carpal tunnel releases. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Basil E. Smith, M.D.

Dr. Smith is a Board Certified Fellowship Trained Sports Medicine physician.  He performs some of the more complex shoulder and hand surgeries  in addition to the common shoulder and knee surgeries related to sports.  He enjoys doing total joint replacements and can perform the small incision surgeries (on appropriate candidates).  He is the only physician in our community doing the partial total knee joints.  Dr. Smith also treats all of the routine orthopaedic diseases and injuries.
